Trainee Technical Engineer

Start: ASAP
Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE29
Hours: Mon – Fri 37.5 hours
Salary: £20,000 – £25,000

Our Client:
Our client are an American based company, who have been set up int he Uk for the last 25 years, creating and maintaining composite repair systems to fix aerospace components. They are looking for a trainee technical engineer to grow their team and assist in the calibration and repair of their equipment for their increasing customer base.

Responsibilities of The Trainee Technical Engineer:

  • Perform calibration and repair of equipment, including the production of Calibration Certificates.
  • Test and troubleshoot manufactured assemblies and equipment to correct abnormal conditions.
  • Program process controllers and load software in equipment, including updating/upgrading hot bonder software when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems using manufacturer’s documentation.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation, including accounting for all materials used and time expended.

Skills and Experience Required of The Trainee Technical Engineer:

  • Engineering/Science degree, Apprenticeship or 2 years of engineering/technician experience.
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electricity, electronics and soldering.
