Aspire Cambridge are recruiting a Senior Java Developer on behalf of our client in Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Start: Immediate
Location: Remote (See Below)
Hours: Mon to Fri, Full Time
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000

Remote | the Successful Java Developer will be required to visit the office twice a month – CM22.

The Senior Java Developer will have:

  • Experience in JIRA
  • Code quality analysis using SonarQube
  • Integration of third-party solutions through Salesforce API, eBay API, Xero API
  • Experience in working in and configuring cloud setup – AWS/ Azure
  • Experience in Thymeleaf or Angular JS or React JS or Node JS
  • Bitbucket Pipelines
  • An ability to develop both the front end and back end services
  • Solid experience of integration of third-party solutions through API and web service development
  • Solid experience in cloud development and server-side technologies
  • demonstrable experience of front-end technologies including: HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Solid experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Test-Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development.
  • Experienced working in small high-performing, self-starting team aligned to non- technical product owners
  • Must have the unconditional right to live and work in the UK

Essential Skills of the Senior Java Developer:

  • Proven working experience in JAVA and AWS projects
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA
  • Be able to manage a large and varied workload, to prioritise task deliveries
  • Experience in the Spring/SpringBoot, MVC, Spring Data
  • Extensive experience with web services especially RESTful
  • Extensive Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework
  • Extensive Experience in Agile development methods (Scrum / Kanban)
  • Extensive Experience with JavaScript framework
  • Automated unit tests/ Automation of functional, regression, performance testing using tools like Selenium/ Cucumber
  • Continuous Integration tools such as Maven, Version Control System, Jenkins/Bitbucket Pipeline, Docker
