Our Client:
Our client is a manufacturer of infection prevention and control equipment, distributing these nationwide, are looking for a Production & Test Engineer to assist in the creation, testing and quality control of their high spec products.

The Production & Test Engineer:
The Production & Test Engineer will be expected to manufacture, assemble, and test products across the range and actively contribute towards the improvements in their design and function.

Responsibilities of The Production & Test Engineer:

  • Establish a deep understanding of the products within the range and how they are operated.
  • Complete the production and assembly of products to a high standard meeting the through put requirements of the business and its customers.
  • Complete thorough product testing throughout assembly and postproduction.
  • Support the evolution of the product range, providing effective feedback to the Product Category Manger.
  • Proactively oversee the stock control requirements for parts and critical components in the central warehouse ensuring these do not fall below requirement.
  • Oversee the receipt, acceptance and quality control of incoming parts and components, to ensure each meet the product specification.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair of fleet systems which cannot be facilitated in the field.
  • Coordinate with the field team to ensure maintenance of accurate system records across the range.
  • Build a deep understanding of our systems allowing for effective fault finding and troubleshooting of issues.
  • Contribute towards system upgrade programs under the guidance and instruction of the relevant Product Category Manager.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed product records as required to demonstrate business compliance.

Skills and Experience Required of The Production & Test Engineer:

  • Experience in installing and troubleshooting instrumentation.
  • Electronics and soldering experience
  • Experience with commissioning electronics and software desirable but not essential.
  • PLC/control system troubleshooting desirable but not essential
  • Confident and decisive in judgement
  • To take a hands-on approach to work
  • Ability to see things through from development to completion.
  • Ability to follow instructions and action tasks in an efficient and timely manner. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest, understanding and experience in the production, maintenance, and repair of systems.
  • Ability to work both within a team and independently. 
  • Possess a responsible and positive attitude promoting the skills of an excellent team player.
  • To communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • The ability to approach challenges logically and deliver outcomes.
  • Consistent output to complete a task to the required standard.
  • A drive for time bound completion of tasks whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Ability to find methods of managing your own time to maximise output and productivity.
  • Trained and experienced in the use and operation of production/servicing machinery.
