aspire cambridge are assisting a client based in Great Shelford with the recruitment of an experienced Payroll Administrator on a full time permanent basis.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Working within a busy payroll team
  • Running a portfolio of client payrolls and liaising directly with clients as required
  •  Setting up and registering new payroll schemes with HMRC
  •  Applying for PSA’s (PAYE Settlement Agreements)
  •  Producing payslips, associated accounting reports and HMRC payment schedules
  •  Processing BACS/Bank payments in connection with salaries, HMRC liabilities, drawings, staff expenses and supplier payments
  •  Processing statutory calculations
  •  Dealing with payroll year end reports and submissions, along with monthly RTI requirements
  •  Working with clients to ensure they are auto-enrolment compliant

Administration duties (shared with other staff members)

  • Maintaining timesheet records on the Practice’s time and billing software, allocating time and expenses recharges as appropriate to clients (training on software would be provided)
  •  Opening, date stamping and scanning in post, saving onto the server, forwarding post items to clients and/or staff members as appropriate
  •  Dealing with outgoing post and couriers
  •  Answering telephones, routing calls, taking messages, greeting visitors and making drinks for meetings, as may be required
  • Photocopying/printing out large documents/scanning/filing documents
  •  Filing – paperwork and electronic/scanned documents
  •  Assisting with internal data input
  •  Setting up databases and running mailing campaigns (mail merge letters, printing, posting etc)
  •  Attending networking events

Start: ASAP
Location: Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm
Salary: £23,000 depending on experience
