Job Description

aspire cambridge are recruiting for an experienced part time Finance Administrator.

Main responsibilities

  • Day to day management of financial operations
  •  Monthly management accounts preparation
  •  Budget preparation and management
  •  Cash flow management
  •  Childcare fee invoicing
  •  Supplier payments
  •  Payroll administration


  • Invoicing childcare fees to parents
  •  NEF (National Education Funding) management in liaison with local authority
  •  Annual budget and forecast preparation
  •  Monthly profit and loss accounts
  •  Complete year end accounting for external auditors
  •  Management of staff payroll
  •  Payments to suppliers
  •  Cash collection and management
  •  Banking of cash
  •  General office duties and telephone enquiries
  •  Any other duties as required/requested deemed suitable to the role

Previous experience

  •  Experience of working in a finance based role
  •  Experience of dealing with payroll
  •  Experience of dealing with invoices

Key Attributes:

  • Good customer service skills
  •  Be highly competent in the Microsoft Office Suite
  •  Must have an excellent telephone manner


GCSE – English Language, Mathematics or equivalent
A-level standard qualification (desirable) or equivalent

Start: ASAP
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Hours: The working hours will be approximately 20 per week, exact working pattern can be flexible
Salary: £Depending on experience
