Job Description

Aspire Cambridge are recruiting a Deliveries Coordinator on behalf of our client in Cambridgeshire.

Start: Immediate
Location: Cambridge, CB25
Hours: Mon to Fri, Full Time
Hourly Rate: £10.80 to £11/hr

Roles and Responsibilities of the Deliveries Coordinator:

  • Assist the Operations Supervisor with the day to day management of all deliveries.
  • Collate, plan, prioritise and co-ordinate all deliveries, balancing cost efficiency with customer requirements.
  • Wherever possible maximise loads and drivers hours.
  • The Deliveries Coordinator will plan and prioritise the loading.
  • On completion of loading, ensure that advice notes are printed.
  • Taking customer requirements into account, schedule deliveries using the most economical route and delivery sequence.
  • Assist the drivers in establishing the optimum routes.
  • Ensure that a loading/day sheet is completed by the driver before they leave the Branch.
  • Provide assistance to drivers when requested.
  • Following deliveries, ensure that all paperwork is returned to the deliveries office.
  • The Deliveries Coordinator will collate KPI figures for all drivers.
  • Should any delivery not be made on the agreed date, ensure that the customer is informed immediately and appropriate action is taken.
  • Provide cover for others in the team, as required.
