Aspire Cambridge Pass REC Compliance Test maintaining ‘Excellent’ rating

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) introduced a mandatory online compliance test assessing their members knowledge of the relevant industry legislation and the REC Code of Professional Practice (REC Code). These online assessments determine if new applicants to the REC are eligible for full membership and whether those whom already hold the membership can renew and retain this. In 2014, Aspire Cambridge achieved an overall score of 98% rated as ‘Excellent’ with another successful score achieved this year (read on to find out our 2015 score..)!

What is the online compliance test made up of?

The test is made up of questions in a multiple choice format, these questions cover key industry legislation such as:

  • The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003
  • REC Code of Professional Practice

Agencies such as Aspire Cambridge who have joined REC, also sign up to the REC Code which requires basic statutory compliance, as well as higher ethical standards.

Why is the assessment important?

The REC assessment is to show that members are committed to compliance and upholding the high standards expected. The membership itself marks quality and tells clients that you strive to deliver the right people every time, and that as an organisation you really care about what you do and have an unmatched level of professionalism. Reflecting a high standard of recruitment amongst all members.

So, how did Aspire Cambridge score?

Aspire Cambridge have now completed both of the compliance tests required as part of the REC membership, and achieved an overall score of 95%. Therefore maintaining our previously achieved rating as ‘Excellent’.
