Every day is exciting running the Temporary and Contract division at Aspire Cambridge; things move so fast, with new roles coming in hour by hour and I love the challenge of matching candidates and clients perfectly under intense time pressure. A happy client and candidate means a happy Laura!
I joined Aspire Cambridge in April 2014 to run the Temporary and Contract Division – a division that was always reactive to client demand however formalised due to its growth and repeat demand in November 2014. We work with a wide range of companies across East Anglia, primarily in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk and have a phenomenal network of candidates who are actively or passively seeking temporary jobs and contract jobs.
I decided to get into recruitment after many years in Account Management at companies such as Play.com and Booking.com. I was ready for a new challenge and as a people person, I knew I would love meeting and talking to a diverse range of people, developing an understanding of their motivations and goals. When I saw the opportunity to join Aspire Cambridge it was the perfect fit; making the most of my skills, working to tight deadlines and enjoying the daily satisfaction of meeting our clients’ requirements for staff, and our candidates’ employment needs.
There has been a growing demand for temporary staff in Cambridgeshire and throughout East Anglia for some time, these contracts vary in length, from a few hours, weeks or even months.
