Halloween 2004

Aspire Cambridge will be donating two prizes for the Charity Auction held on the 1st of November at Soham Town Ranger Football Club.

The event is being organised by Leah Badcock, held in memory of Joanne Porter who sadly lost her ongoing battle with cancer earlier this year. A popular figure amongst friends, family and acquaintances, Joanne organised a number of charity events herself and Leah wished to continue the tradition.

To help fundraising for this event, Aspire Cambridge will be donating two prizes: Kayleigh Beeton will be offering herself for a whole days’ unpaid work, with the highest bidder also winning a 40 minute flight over Cambridge for 3 people to be taken between April to September 2015.

Joanne Porter was an extremely popular person who struggled for many years against cancer. During this time, Joanne would run fundraisers to raise funds for charities – something close friend Leah Badcock wanted to emulate. “In memory of a truly inspirational and loving friend we are organising a Halloween Party, last year Joanne selflessly organised an awesome fancy dress party to raise money for breast cancer awareness. So we are taking her idea and making it a tradition! All money raised will go to the charities close to her heart!”

All money raised through the auction will be donated to Addenbrooke’s Oncology Ward and Breast Cancer Awareness.

If you would like to bid for our fantastic prize or even find out more about this event please contact Kayleigh on 01223 855440 or comment on Facebook – Jo’s Charity Halloween Party. Full details of the event can also be found by clicking here.

If you wish to attend the event there is a small entry fee of £2.50 and on the night there will be many games, a raffle, prize for best dressed and of course.. the auction!
