Aspire Cambridge supported a local charity fundraising event in Ely, raising money for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust. The event, held at the Atrium Club in Ely, involved a team of 34 cyclists attempting to break a ‘Tour de France challenge’ on spin bikes at the gym – which they managed to beat this Monday! Aspire Cambridge sponsored one of the spin bikes at the charity fundraiser and would like to congratulate the team on beating the target and raising over £600 for the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT).
Kate de Bondt helped organise the event and told the Cambridge News, “It was certainly a challenge but everyone did fantastically well. We cycled for 84 hours so we’ve been in touch with the people at the Guinness World Records. We also raised around £600 for the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, which is brilliant, and we’d like to thank everyone for their support.” Kate has ties with Kelly Haston, Director at Aspire Cambridge, going back to 2006 – having been placed at temporary and a permanent placement.
