In 2008, founder Kelly Haston, found a gap in the recruitment market . The recruitment industry has changed dramatically, with approaches to recruitment techniques developing in parallel with the introduction of new digital technologies and platforms. This fast flowing industry has no choice but to adapt to changes, ensuring that the best talent acquisition methods are being implemented, in order to increase the success of filling a vacancy with the best possible candidate.
Kelly’s career in recruitment started in 2004, so she really does have a wealth of experience in the industry. Today she is currently responsible for the overall performance of the business, across all specialist divisions, defining and implementing strategy and growth plans.
Working with the management team, one of Kelly’s core objectives is to ensure delivery to clients and candidates is kept to the highest of standards. She builds on relationships that have been formed since the launch of the business and ensures that all partnerships are built on foundations of trust and integrity, while ensuring the highest levels of customer service is achieved.
Outside the office she can be found travelling and on regular holidays. Weekends are spent with the family and spending quality time with her daughter.
Since 2015, Kayley has been focused on recruitment within the Engineering sector specialising in UK market place. Kayley would promote herself as a technology enthusiast and is passionate about her specialism. Kayley has spent over three years working in this field and enjoys understanding both her candidate and client needs. She is one of our team of qualified recruiters holding her certificate in recruitment practice and individual membership with the IRP.
Kayley joined us holding an LLB (bachelor of laws) degree and believes that the skills required to gain this qualification have given her a strong foundation for her recruitment career, these include: ability to digest information with speed, working and thinking quickly under pressure and being intellectually challenged.
Joining aspire cambridge a senior consultant in 2015 Kayley is pipped for progression and is currently working towards stepping up in her role, following completion of her management programme.
During her spare time Kayley is a fitness enthusiast and when not found at the gym she can be found horse riding at her local riding school.
In 2014, after a decade of working in account management and customer service, Laura started her career with aspire cambridge as a recruitment consultant. New to the industry Laura completed her ‘black belt’ in internet recruitment and essential skills of a temporary recruiter. Laura went on to become an accredited and qualified recruitment consultant gaining her certificate in recruitment practice and becoming a member of the IRP. She has gone on to recruit for clients covering the whole of East Anglia on a permanent and temporary basis.
Laura graduated in 2007 from Anglia Ruskin University with a BA (Hons) in Criminology and believes this gave her the foundations for her recruitment career, by being able to use her analytical and research skills.
Being promoted to senior consultant in 2015 was a highlight of Laura’s career and something she remains proud of to this very day. Laura has an interesting combination of a relaxed but professional approach to her desk, making her clients feel at ease the instant they meet her, securing repeat business on a regular basis. Pipped for future progression here at aspire cambridge Laura has a bright career ahead of her!
Laura’s keen passion outside of work is amateur dramatics and when not found singing her heart out on the stage, she can be found playing the piano and spending time with her nephew.
Having worked as a HR business partner previously, Jenna joined aspire cambridge to start her career as an outsourced hr consultant in 2016. She brings more than 10 years’ experience to aspire cambridge, her past experience includes responsibility for 800 employees, across 25 branches in 3 counties, 3 smaller businesses and the central support functions on all employee relations issues including devising and delivering training to managers. She has wide sector experience, having worked in both public and private sector companies that include outsourced HR environments.
Her role is to primarily act as a fully outsourced human resources department to sme’s, however she is also known to deliver solutions to enterprise businesses that have one off projects or complex requirements that needs some additional support and expertise. She is successfully developing all aspects of outsourced HR, from training and recruitment to performance management and disciplinary procedures.
In Jenna’s spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, enjoys cooking and going on holiday.
Emma joins aspire cambridge with the most diverse and skilled experience amongst the recruitment team in recruiting technical contractors and temporary staff. Emma joined recruitment in 2012 through her love of interacting with people.
Emma chose her specialism to be within technical recruitment due to her passion for learning new concepts and understanding the growing technology market. Emma prides herself on managing multiple contracts simultaneously and has a strong aptitude for building strong client relationships.
With a solid background in B2B and B2C customer account management Emma has most recently attended the REC (recruitment and employment confederation) course on supplying contract workers – enabling her to keep ahead of her competition and understanding the full employment law surrounding temporary and contract workers.
When she’s not at work Emma can often be found walking and training her new puppy – the new love of her life!
Following a successful position as a strategic hr business partner to an executive director and staff in global commercial sales, marketing and product planning teams Eddy made the decision to leave her post to improve her work/life balance. Joining aspire cambridge in 2014 as a freelance hr consultant Eddy enjoys working with a diverse collection of industries, including retail. hospitality, manufacturing and distribution.
She has built wonderful relationships with a portfolio of sme’s with whom she supports with hr services both ad hoc and regular across the full hr spectrum.
Having worked in hr roles in small, medium and very large organisations as well as leading a small team in her own business way before she studied people management; Eddy can tell you that the challenges you will face as a business owner, director or manager are exactly the same regardless of the size of your organisation, the only difference is that larger organisations occasionally have more resources to call on.
Outside of work you’ll find Eddy travelling and enjoying quality time with family and friends.
Emily joined the business in 2014 initially to support all aspects of sales administration and compliance. She completed her business and administration level 2 & 3, with distinctions and today is the backbone of our business support in our company. Without Emily we’re not sure what we’d do!
She supports the office, in all aspects of sales administration and compliance. Emily is diligent and supportive and is definitely the unsung hero of the office.
She has a positive outlook on working life, enjoying her daily tasks and the challenge of no two days ever being the same!
Outside of work, Emily loves spending time with her two dogs Jasper and Wilbur and can be found spending most of her spare time with her family and friends.
Jasmine is a graduate consultant, having gained her BA(Hons) in english language. Jasmine started her career in recruitment in 2012 and has spent four years recruiting both temporary and permanent employees. Jasmine was drawn to recruitment following a successful career in sales and account management and would tell anyone that her true passion lies with offering the very best customer service to both clients and candidates.
Jasmine has most recently passed her certificate in recruitment practice qualification and also her membership with the IRP. After a period of study and exam based in London Jasmine was proud to pass this making her a senior consultant with aspire cambridge.
Jasmine should be better known amongst our team as the next ‘Mary Berry’ with her second love being baking – often bringing in home cooked treats for the team and our ever expanding waistlines.
Andy started his career in recruitment following a customer facing role within trade sales. With excellent B2B and B2C communication skills Andy has a strong results driven work ethic and has secured strong rapport with his clients. Rapidly becoming a leading and credible recruitment consultant in his field of information technology Andy is currently enjoying fulfilling business relationships with leading technology companies not only in Cambridge but Europe too!
Andy has a technical mind-set with strong attention to detail skills and enjoys spending his day speaking to candidates in depth in order to provide his clients with the ultimate recruitment experience.
Andy has recently completed a course via the REC (recruitment and employment confederation) for candidate management and sourcing, keeping him ahead of the competition and making his service stand out with unique ways of finding talent within the information technology division.
Outside of work Andrew can be found supporting and playing for his local football team or failing that, on a the beach riding the waves on his surf board.
Samantha joined the business in 2011, initially to provide administration support. Shortly after joining our director recognised strong work ethics and autonomy; Samantha went on to become a highly successful and qualified recruitment consultant however her learning didn’t stop there. Wanting to grasp more of the business she was presented with the opportunity to develop a career in finance and accounts. Today, Samantha is one of our most versatile staff and not only manages our finance and accounts function but supports recruitment sales and business operations too.
Sam has achieved her status as a qualified recruitment consultant and an accounting practitioner at AAT level 3 status; in addition health and safety, first aid and facilities management.
We are proud that the skills and experience learnt from our business operations have allowed Samantha outside of work to start her own health and wellbeing business; she loves spending time with her family, going on holidays and shopping till she drops!
Rachel is our first recruit of 2017 and hired to take over the management of all permanent hires in our hospitality division. Keen to embark on a career in recruitment, Rachel spent the past nine years in hospitality and a demanding customer facing role. With an impressive track record and experience of B2B and B2C communications in the hospitality industry we were very fortunate to attract Rachel to the company. Rachel has a results driven work ethic which over the years has secured strong relationships with her clients.

Janet is a successful hr, learning and development consultant, coach and outplacement specialist. Prior to this, 14 years as an in-house hr manager with budgetary, strategic and operational responsibilities. Joining us in 2012 Janet has worked with a variety of organisations from start-ups to well established businesses covering a diversity of markets, services and products, helping them to realise the value of their hr investment.
Janet facilitates clients to clarify, focus on and achieve their career and business objectives. Most of her experience and successes have been in technology-led businesses including hi-tech, bio-tech, engineering and consultancies. She is particularly good at unpicking and resolving complex people issues, saving our clients time, money and frustration and freeing them up to run their businesses.
Janet’s specialities and business interests include; executive coaching, soft skills development, outplacement services, motivational maps, 1:1 tailored management development , hr troubleshooting, design and delivery of tailored training programmes, hi-tech recruitment campaign management, change management, hr process improvement and performance management.
